Hi! Many countries use a different notation from USA for decimals... using a comma instead of a dot... Like Brazil :) (and also we use dots for grouping thousands, instead of commas). It requires some additional conversions before using the data... What about a flag or something similar to choose the format? http://www.statisticalconsultants.co.nz/blog/how-the-world-separates-its-decimals.html1 vote
I have fixed this issue. Now Stock Connector will use your Excel settings for thousands separators and decimal separators.
That’s the same setting that’s accessible from the File > Options > Advanced menu in Excel.
I have now implemented click-and-drag reordering feature for those who contribute to the add-in (if you’re interested, look for the PayPal link at the bottom in Windows Desktop Excel). Thanks, and sorry I didn’t add it for free like the other features.
This would be helpful for longer lists.4 votes
I’ve just added a click-and-drag reordering feature for those who contribute to the add-in.
Done. Thanks for the suggestion!
After you type in a ticker symbol in the edit box, pressing [Enter] currently does nothing. I think it should Submit your entry, just as if you clicked on Connect.1 vote
Done – that one was a quick fix. Thanks for the suggestion!
I need to be able to include stocks traded on the TSX, like XUS, XSP,0 votes
Thanks for the message! To use international stocks, find the international ticker by searching at finance.yahoo.com. For example, the international ticker for “XUS” is “XUS.TO”, which works with the Stock Connector app.
